CEID’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing (D/HH) programs provide specialized early childhood education, extensive therapies, home visits, and parent education and support. They use the Total Communication approach in their D/HH classrooms. Additionally, CEID offers a community play-based childcare program, Sunshine Preschool, for hearing children ages 2 to 5 years. CEID’s services are designed to meet the unique needs of each family, focusing on the children’s well-being and growth. They offer various family support services, including parent support, CEID Connect Workshops, Deaf Coaching, and family and community events. CEID Audiology Clinics provide high-quality individualized care and solutions for people of all ages, from hearing evaluations to dispensing hearing aids. They accept Medi-Cal and commercial insurance at their Berkeley and Oakland locations. As a non-profit organization, CEID relies on the support of donors to keep its doors open and continue providing its valuable services to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.
