Esther B. Clark Schools is designed to meet the educational needs of students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) who have experienced challenges in previous school settings. The school serves students with primary eligibilities of autism, emotional disturbance, other health impairments, or specific learning disabilities. These students often face difficulties such as anxiety, depression, poor self-management, weak executive functioning, social isolation, sensory issues, and mental health challenges that have prevented them from succeeding in mainstream educational environments. At Esther B. Clark Schools, the expert staff and specialized program help these students re-engage in learning and develop positive skills to eventually transition back to a mainstream school. The enrollment process starts with the student’s home school district, which refers the student to EBC. After an initial conversation, campus tour, and interview, the district amends the student’s IEP to reflect the specialized services provided at the nonpublic EBC setting. Many parents express gratitude for the transformative impact EBC has had on their child’s educational and personal development. EBC’s holistic approach aims to address the unique social, emotional, and academic needs of each student in order to unlock their promise and potential. The school’s specialized programming and dedicated staff provide a supportive environment for students to overcome their challenges and achieve success.
